Advanced Mouse Cursor Analytics & Smoothing Test | GearLabs Labs

Experimental tool to detect mouse sensor smoothing, jitter, and path interpolation. Analyze your mouse's raw input precision.

Velocity Consistency

How to read these metrics:

Smoothing

High values (9-10) indicate heavy OS or sensor level "prediction". Gaming mice should aim for lower values.

Jitter

Measures variance in velocity. High jitter can indicate a poor sensor or surface interference.

Interpolation

Shows the reporting rate. This should stay consistent at your mouse's polling rate (e.g. 1000Hz).

Path Variance

Detects "Angle Snapping" where the sensor forces movement into perfectly straight lines.
